A Fun Corporate Photography Shoot in Pike & Rose for Ed's Not Dead
Updated: Aug 29, 2019
In honor of the start of the school year, I am excited to share a recent corporate photography shoot with the hosts of the podcast, Ed's Not Dead. Ed's Not Dead is "not your average education podcast." During the podcast the hosts, Whitman High School Principal Robby Dodd, White Oak Middle School Assistant Principal Pete Crable, and Kennedy High School Academy Coordinator Casey Siddons, discuss the hottest issues in education today and have a great time while doing it.
Fun fact: in my past life as a Spanish Teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools, we all worked together. At the time, Robby was principal. That being said, I was delighted when they reached out to me about photos for their website and other promotional purposes. I put together a package for them that included group photos as well as individual headshots. In preparation for the photography session, the gang (as they refer to themselves) shared that they wanted the photos to have a fresh, contemporary look, so I thought that Pike & Rose in Rockville would be the perfect place for us to shoot. We met on a sunny Saturday morning, just as PIKE Central Farmer Market was opening and people were starting to fill up cafés and restaurants.
It was not a surprise to me that the session turned out to be fun and a very collaborative, not unlike working with them back at Argyle. We tried multiple backgrounds and poses, and when all was said and done, they had a variety of images to choose from. Here are a few shots from the recent shoot. You can also visit their website to see the images as well as learn more about their podcast.
